What's in Your Purse?

To answer the burning question that Rian threw out there.....here it is. The complete contents, checkbook, calendar, change purse, inhaler for those wheezy moments, pill bottle with a few Ibuprofen, Tums & Coricidin D, & my one excess, TWO pairs of reading glasses, in case I lay one pair down somewhere & forget where I put them. I can't read a thing without them!
I find that because I change purses frequently, since I make them all the time, I don't keep a lot of junk in them. My keys stay on a little shelf by the door, next to my gloves. When I'm out somewhere & I'm driving, I keep them in my pocket, never in the purse. I used to carry a big purse, but with neck & back problems I've pared that down. I do still carry a backpack though, for my current book & lunch when I go to work.

Mine would be a crazy photo.
I have a wallet, cel phone, keys to things I no longer own or places i no longer live as well as current car keys and house keys, a million random receipts and bits of paper, 6 flavors of gum (I chew gum to avoid snacking), a mini calorie counting book for eating out, pens, gloves, sunglasses, Satsuma, about $30 in quarters, Pepper Spray, Earrings, stamps, 8 different shade of lipstick/gloss, 2 flavors of chap stick, and a mini box of tissues.

Yup, I'm a virtual bag lady.

I have to add that I change purses with my outfits as well, just tranferring the stuff. I tend to leave things behind in my purses though, so I will find lipsticks and coupons in purses when I come back to them. (I think I own at least 100 tubes of lipstick. I buy it almost every time I am at the mall or drug store)
In the summer I carry flip flops as well because of the high heels I wear all of the time, sometimes I just need to throw on flip flops at a rock show where there is no seating or if I have been shopping so long.
I guess Darian was right to have you build me a HUGE purse huh?

Maybe I should make you a purse with a trolly built into it Michelle!

I saw a hint one time for those who change purses alot. Put everything in a liner (the suggestion was a plastic bag-ziplock) and then pull the liner out and put it in the new purse. It sounded like a pretty good idea. I guess all the purses would have to be about the same size.

Now that is what I call pared down to the essentials. The purse is way cute!

That's the unwanted bonus with big bags--back problems. I learned that years ago when I had a back problem. My chiropractor suggested I stop carrying a huge backpack of a purse.

Firstly, I love your bag. The bag I take to work has absolutely everything in it - it is huge!! But then I have my non-work bags which only carry the essentials - plus what I find in them from when I last used them....

Great purse! I don't change purses as often as I'd like to because important things always seem to get left behind, then I find myself without a driver's license, my appointment calendar, cell phone, JoAnn's coupons, etc. I'm getting better though.

I need a bag for the car and a separate one for essentials to carry. I've thought about the bag for the car frequently, but never have gotten around to actually doing it.

Your bag is certainly more artistic than mine, smaller, and better organized. But whenever I decide to carry less I immediately need something that I didn't bring. I'm afraid its a lost cause. I like the idea of a purse with a trolley built in.
