This is Lin Wince, former fashion model for John Robert Powell. She graciously modeled one of the large “Shirt protectors” that we (ALCQ – quilt guild) were making to give to a local nursing home. This was at out Thursday meeting.
Today I finished off 13 more, just doing the top-stitching & adding Velcro closures.
Yes the Frog quilt on the previous post was a baby quilt for the client’s grandson.

How fashionable! Very nice job-it will brighten up the mundane fact of needing the bib again! (When my youngest turned 2 he didn't want to wear a bib-they were for babies but he was still too messy so I told him it was a 'big boy clothes protector' and he wore it with pride! We still laugh about it!
We have the same project - but we were politely and firmly informed they were NOT bibs, they were "Crumb Catchers" . That led us all into fits of laughter, and in a short time, they became "thread catchers" ... hmmm - maybe that will catch on. 8-))
Ohhhhhh, someday we'll all be wearing them, at least Warren wil be the first!
I had never seen them until my mother needed full time care. Yours are much nicer than the ones she wore! They called them "aprons" in her all-women unit.
