Home From Seattle

We went to Seattle to celebrate my DD's birthday.
We had a really good time.
This was the view from our room at the Camlin. We went to the Ladro Cafe in the bottom of the round tower building, every morning for coffee. Directly below our room was the pool & hot tub.
Darian & I used the pool a lot! The weather was HOT & this Alaska girl felt like she was melting.
We did a lot of fun stuff & spent time with friends Stu & Ilene from Salem, Oregon, toured the city on foot, went to the APNQ show,& I will share more later, but right now I've got tons of stuff to do just to get life organized !

There's no place like home!

I overheard this guy at the drugstore yesterday saying how amazed he was that Texas had so many trees. He just thought it was one wide open plain. The clerk made some comment that I didn't hear and then he said, "I guess everyone thinks Alaska is just snow and igloos too." So, I guess he was from Alaska visiting Texas for the first time.

Welcome back! Hot in Seattle--isn't the world weird this summer. Looking forward to hearing about that show!

Did you get caught up in the long security lines at the airport?

I never think of Seattle as hot, but I guess it probably is. Of course, when my parents announced they were moving to Floriday, all of their friends said it would be too hot for them. Well, it has been cooler in Pt. St. Lucie, FL than in Columbia, MD where they were...

Glad you had a nice trip.

I'm glad the ATC arrived safely.
Your report on your holiday in Seattle reminded me of the lovely time we had there a few years ago. My husband is a member of a Welsh male voice choir and they were invited to sing in the area in 1997. A belated happy birthday to your daughter. What a lovely present for her.
