Signs of autumn are already starting to pop up here & there.
I love these mushrooms that grow in the yard every end of summer.
I love these mushrooms that grow in the yard every end of summer.
The elderberry bushes are ripening. Soon the birds will eat all of the berries.
I went to Physical therapy today, & when I got home there was a mama & baby moose in the back yard. I honked & hollered trying to get them to move on so I could get out of my car. It spooked the baby, but I got the feeling the mama might be deaf. Finally my DH came to the back door & told me to run! Now picture this. I just got finished with physical therapy, so by the time I got home from downtown Anchorage, my knee was pretty seized up & I could hardly walk! I ran like a gimpy turtle! The moose didn't seem to care, thank goodness!
I got a back end shot though the bedroom window. Below is the baby, I took that from the deck.

Just found your blog-love the ABC wall art. The moose are beautiful-does the extra run to the house count towards next week's therapy?!
Ahh Fall! I look forward to fall every year cause it means the State Fair is here. Glad to hear the moose didn't care too much about you running like a gimpy turlte.
You truely are a visionary. I particularly like a bells flowers on the side of the quilt. The colors are yummy. Could be a dessert in the quilt world.
I love the mushrooms, they look like they should be on a Snow White movie. Your ABC's are great, I can't wait to see them in real life. You are the "master" embellisher!
The mushrooms are beautiful! Can't imagine running from wild life the size of a moose, but running when physically incapable of speed must be terrifying.
Love the ABC wall art, especially all the embellishments. Glad you didn't have to really try and run from the moose.
Those are beautiful mushrooms .Are they poison?

What a wonderful piece! I like the shape of this one a lot, and the embellishments are fabulous.
Thanks for the great nature photos.
Great nature photos! Love the mushrooms!
Very interesting ABC creations! Never seen anything like them! One of a kind art! 8-)
Happy stitchings!
Gorgeous mushrooms, but I think they are deadly Amanitas, so don't taste them. The edible ones are much less enticing, aren't they. I used to have a marvelous guide book to mushrooms from my late ecologist husband, who knew all about which ones to eat and which to just admire. Unfortunately, it included hallucenogenic (sp?)fungi, and one of my, then teenage, daughter's friends walked off with it.
That baby is so ugly, it is cute.
What fun ABCs!
Your ABC piece turned out great, Deb! Very creative!
Your alphabet hanging is just gorgeous! Such wonderful work.
I cannot wait till Fall arrives here! Love the moose pics!
