Nasties

Just to add a little fiber to my blogging this week. I just finished off this group quilt. It started with my own photograph of the Nasturtiums in my yard (from a few years ago). I blew it up on the wall & drew the whole thing on freezer paper, then sliced it into 5 vertical slices. then we drew for which section we had to do. From left to right it was by Jean Ferguson, Jackie Carley, Mary Huey, Mona Hendrickson, & myself. Jackie sewed the 5 pieces together, then I did the quilting, binding & sleeve. It's State Fair, then quilt show time coming up, so I had to get it done. We haven't decided what happens to it next, but I'm wishing I got to keep this one. I love it.

That is pretty impressive, especially for a group effort! (Yours is the best of course!)

At first I thought it was your real window box filled with flowers. It's a beautiful quilt, I hope your able to keep it.

uber cool "quilt"....couldn't you all rotate ownership of the quilt? Each maker have it for a quarter of a year...or a year and then rotate it to another? Otherwise...I think the designer (you) should keep it for coming up with the idea and pattern. Its beautiful!

Outstanding! I had to re-read your posting a few times because I thought I was looking at a photo not a photo of a quilt.

Thank-you for stopping by my blog and leaving a comment.

Yes, this is a keeper. Lovely work, and how nice to have done it in collaboration with others.

What a wonderful quilt. Hard to believe that it was done in pieces and parts and ended up so consistent and connected. One of my neighbors has "nasties" along the front of her yard and I love them. Bugs always eat mine; I am not a great success as an organic gardener, but I don't want to poison the neat critters along with the baddies.

Great group effort. Do be careful - it looks as if it might start to wander across your lounge....they do that you know...just gradually creep over things and around and through ...before you know it is every where!

I like having the State Fair as a deadline for me. Here in KY, it's mid August. I've got 2 quilts entered this year.

That is a beautiful quilt. Your group of ladies should do the quilt group challenge at the Nashville quilt show. Each quilter must do an individual quilt to enter, but, it looks like you all have more than enough talent to enter.
