Crazy Clock Weekend

I was in a handwork mood this weekend, so I hauled out the Crazy clock & finished all the bead work on it. All I have left is to put in the clock works so it can actually work as a clock, then finish the back. Next weekend I'll do that.
I put this picture my #1 GD when she was 5 over the words "Dream Time",

& this picture of GD #2when I was holding her for the 1st time. Both are under my old reading glass lenses.
4 little bone fishes to represent my 4 children.
None of the watches are working. They are old watches that belonged to me, or my family members, & I had been collecting them for years for this project. I have enough left over to make another. The Flower pot on the roses above is a stone I found on a beach somewhere.
It's been a fun project, I almost hate to be done with it. Oh well, after the back is finished I'll have to come up with a new hand project, or maybe finish another old UFO.

I love the clock project!! It is awesome!! I see my old SS watch (the most expensive watch I've ever owned by the way!) I'm glad it has a new life. It is a beautiful piece!!

Deb, that is so cool. I love having the photos under eyeglass lenses and the collection of family watches.

What a contemporary take on crazy quilting...I love that!
The glasses idea is really cool, too, and having those pictures on there. I've never done any family-related CQs, but this makes me want to!

Gorgeous, and I love how you recycled so many objects in this piece.

The clock is magical, "over the top". I love the grandkids pictures. I wish you could bring it with you in Sept. What is the size of it?

Beautiful, and so inventive! I love the glass lenses as photo frames. I have lots of old family jewelry, watches, eyeglasses, and even tiny wedding and engagement rings (that don't fit any of us today) from the family that I haven't known what to do with and this gives me lots of ideas of a family heirloom treasure. I could even use leftover fabrics from wedding dresses, etc.
