Monday Morning

This was the view from our window Saturday morning. We got about 2 feet of heavy wet snow. Yesterday we managed to get out of the driveway, & I went to the Alaska Fiber Festival Board meeting. Mostly we went over what was good & not so good about the last AFF, & scheduled to have the next meeting to plan for 2010. Yes we're going to do it again!
Here I just wanted to share a bit of fiber content. This is a pin that I bought last Wednesday at Pat's. It was made by Polly Lewis, a retired art teacher. It's about 1.5 inches square. The back is wool felt with a layer of collage, a bit of fabric, & a leaf with some beads. I loved it, & it's the colors I love to wear.
Now off to work I go.

Kathy if you're reading this, we want an update on John!

Your snow made the national news! I guess that is good for somethin'...
What a gorgeous artpin. I know that it has to be even more gorgeous "in person". Pixels can only take us so far...

what a sweet little leaf. It is a breath of hope in this frozen alaskan scenery. So glad that there will be a 2010 Fiberfestival in Anchorage. I am still dreaming of the snow being gone by tomorrow.
Cheers to you

And I've been complaining about the weather in Oslo, Norway!!... All of a sudden we've had nearly June's temperature for a few days now and everything is green. The leaf piece is beautiful!!

Your new pin is adorable! I've always wanted to try to make something like that, but haven't been able to get anything I like at that scale. I may have to try again, after seeing the one you purchased. :)

Sure enjoyed reading your blog this evening. The quilts were very interesting, the weather as wierd as ours in Arkansas, only in a different way. I'll look again. Pat at birdnestontheground
