Bubbles

I can't believe how fast I cranked this one out. Last night I sprinkled all the rest of the Angelina fibers that were in Mary's bag, over the top of the circles of fabric & Timtex. I pressed with the iron & press sheet, then layered plain blue tulle over that, & pin basted just like a regular quilt.
I quilted for about 1 1/2 hrs before going to bed,
then finished all the quilting today. Another 4 1/2 hrs worth. Here's a close up of the back side with the wash-away stabilizer, showing the quilting.

After rinsing, I laid it out to dry on a fluffy towel.
It has lots of shine from the Angelina fibers. I also quilted it with Holoshimmer thread, so that made it even glitzier.
Here it is completed with the quilting. Now I have to add a sleeve, label, & maybe some beads for embellishment...hmmm..
Oh, & my sister asked what were the rules..basically use what's in the bag, & I forget if there was anything else! If I broke the rules, oh well, what else is new?! I never follow rules when it comes to quilting!
Thanks for all the kind complments on my works. I was reading Rayna Gillman's blog last night, & she brought up a good point...What is it that you like about it? What's your favorite thing?
Oh, there was another post I read, that struck me as an on the spot syncronistic moment for me, it was Beadlust- Robin, on symbols I am really into circles right now!

I'd never have guessed that piece was made from the stuff in the bag! It is gorgeous!!
(overachiever)
I need to find a way to approach a project without asking myself, "Yeah, but what are you going to do with it?!"

(I mean like.....is it a bed quilt? Wallhanging? Table cover?)

I love it! (the colours, the shine, the quilting, and the design of course)

"What do you like about it? What is your favorite thing?" are the two basic questions I used to tell students to use in peer review sessions in writing class... I generally try to use them myself, but don't always.

What I like about this is the apparently effortless way you came up with something so creative. Also, it's just the right degree of glitzy. (Hold the beads?)

Your quilting is gorgeous and I also love the shine. It looks like a piece of mosaic glass. That's a nice slight-of-hand. The organic shape is also lovely. The best thing about it may be all the fun you had. This piece seemed inspired from the beginning.

You know, my paper dress was made of all circles too! It must be in the air. BTW, I have some big news about that dress! Not only is it going to be in a fashion show in 2 weeks, but it is going to be the cover of a magazine for their Earth Day issue! They are doing the photo shoot this week. I'm shocked! I'm thinking I might burn it when it is over, just to complete the whole circle of life as an artistic statement. I mean, it is a huge paper dress, there is no hope of storing it!

Every part of that quilt is great! It needs to be entered in some shows.
