Snow , snow, snow!

Ok. I finally have a New Year resolution that I CAN keep! I will never try to curl my hair with a curling iron again, while talking on the phone! Duh-uh! Simple!
I thought you might like to get a sample of the snow we've gotten in the past few days. Our world is so quiet. Everything has been muted by mounds of fluffy white snow. Our daylight basement windows, aren't letting in a lot of daylight today.
Poor Broccoli keeps trying to see over the top of the snow.

Standing on the path that Warren has been keeping snow blowed out, the snow is elbow deep on me, & despite what my husband claims, I'm not a midget! I am 5 foot 4 3/4" tall! Where you see the posts sticking up there, that's our deck, on top of our master bedroom. The house is still a work in progress. We hope to get the stones on the bottom done in the next year or 2. The deck, we intend to finish this coming summer, if all goes well.

I don't think I could live with it but the snow does look wonderful! Your hand, not so much! I do hope you heal fast.

Wow, that is sooooo beautiful!!

I've burned myself with the curling iron too, only on my forehead. That is a dorky look.
Pretty ring and nice sweater showing on that injured paw of yours, though..;-)

Smooth Bee! I've nailed my ears with the iron and not even realized it until it's healing and itching and I scratch the scab off!

It looks like a winter wonderland up there! I love it! Now, aren't those windows supposed to be egress? The inspector wouldn't like that snow block you've got going! We've had 40's for weeks and it is to continue. The wind is blowing now.....sounds like a blizzard!

The up side.......the work can continue on my house! We are just a couple of weeks from rough-in inspection!! YEA !! Drywall and insulation are after that! I might get in there yet! Love you!

Snow's pretty but you can keep it!

Curling iron? too much fuss for me! that burn looks horrible. Between your hand and Warren's hand, you guys need some help!

Good thing you're your own nurse Aunt Bee. The snow is beautiful, but I'm glad you've got it rather than us. We've had strange weather for Michigan. It snowed once on the 1st of Dec. Love you much!

OWWW! It has been a long time since I've used a curling iron, but I remember the painful burns.

Snowbound... The landscape looks so peaceful and pristine, but how much trouble to get out and about!

ouch!! I would say talking while curling probably isn't a great idea as well. I hope it heals quickly!

That snow is awesome! But you really ought to help poor Broccoli out with the view :-)

You must be getting all our snow, we haven't had much this year (MI) and I don't think any is expected any time soon. It is beautiful, though.
Hope your burns heal up soon!

Oh! This is so lovely! (The snow, not your burnt hand...)
I don't want to get so much snow, but just a few inches would be nice. I miss it.

Holy cow that's a lot of snow! We're having an unseasonably warm winter here in NE. No snow and temps in the 50s!

Ouch! Your hand looks painful. Hope it heals up quickly. I can't believe the amount of snow you have! It is beautiful (as is your house), but I think I will keep my warm climate. I can't imagine trying to shovel it all.

The snow is amazing. I just can't imagine living with that. Did you rush out and plunge your burnt hand into the snow? Hope it heals quickly. Enjoy your winter wonderland Deb. Hugs from a warm country.

WOW... Send me some snow! (Heck send me some Winter Temperatures - we are headed back into the 60's...)

That's what I call an amazing amount of snow! It's been quite a few years since I saw snow like that. What I remember about it is that it's beautiful but an awful lot of work to live with (all that shoveling and snow blowing).
Healing thoughts to you for that hand. Jen

Wow, I seem to remember that white stuff outside your windows! Here in Michigan (you remember this state, don't you) we are STILL waiting for snow. Not sure when it will come...

So sorry to see your owie on your hand! Yuck!

Dang...and I've complained about the weather. I had no idea. We've only seen snow pile up by our door the Blizzard of '93.

Ouch!! Yes, I agree two free hands when handling a hot iron is a must.

That snow is amazing!

girllll, there is no way I could live with that much snow...would send me into panic mode but I bet you have several deep freezers of food just as a norm knowing the snow could get that deep. the peace and quiet sounds very appealing though and yes, its always pretty to look at from the inside.
