Believe it or not, but we are on Weight Watchers right now. Thursday evening we went out to dinner with my old pal Judy, (RN from the recovery room),
who is here on a traveling assignment for the Respiratory department. We went to Suite 100, & had a lovely time.
I think I hurt myself with the brownie/ice cream sundae.
Warren & Judy both had the Croissant bread pudding.
Friday we stayed home (if I remember correctly).
Saturday morning we braved the cold & went to our friends the Meyn’s for their Saturday brunch get-together.
Mindy made lovely fluffy pancakes in the oven.
Here are a couple of her pretty fused glass plates.
Since we didn’t eat enough at breakfast, we got together at the Firetap Restaurant, for dinner.
Hope left for a school play about the time that the power went out. We had a great time in the dark, waiting for the lights to come back on, so we could get our bills.
Our favorite dessert at the Firetap, is the Guinness chocolate cake, with praline sauce. Oh, it is WICKED GOOD! Warren & I share.
Oh, & just to throw a little fiber into the mix, here is the center of the quilt I’m working on right now.
& if you’ve bothered to read this far, you might be interested in the fact that it was –4 degrees here today. It’s dry & cold, & my DH had his first colonoscopy today.
Also one of our dear friends, (best man at our wedding actually) is in the hospital after getting stomped on by a moose this weekend. Please say a little prayer for Richard.

OMG - stomped on by a MOOSE! How awful; hope he's OK.
OMG that Guinness business looks amazing!
Mindy's plates are wonderful, she's very talented.
I do have that blog site and check it often and learn a lot from her. She approches natural dying very scientifically, unlike me.
Hello Deb, The food looked really fabulous especially that sundae. Prayer for Richard, I hope he recovers quickly. I do sympathize with your DH I just had my first colonscopy to. Never again. Hugs Judy
(I mispelled on previous post!)
A lot of subjects - I drooled over the food, laughed at a double chin or two, LOVED the machine quilting with the strings, gave a thought to the colonoscopy, but the 'kicker' was the friend who was stomped on by the moose. My word, I DO wish him safe recovery.
My gosh, the things we learn on these blogs!
