In His Shoe

This shoe was one of my oldest son, Brandon's 1st walking shoes. I only had the one, I don't know what happened to the other one, but I painted it with copper paint, & felted a wool ball to fit inside for a pin cusion. It was one of our gifts to him & Laura for the new baby to be.

What a lovely idea but how did you manage to keep track of that shoe over all these years

Cute idea with the shoe! My mom had ours bronzed and they are on the shelves at her house, along with her own that were bronzed. Boy did I have big feet when I learned how to walk!

This is a terrific gift. I love things that preserve family memories, and this one is practical as well. Jen

That is a terrific idea. I always thought bronzing was too expensive, but hadn't thought of doing anything myself.

Hi Deb,
Thanks for visiting my site. I loved seeing your work and the snow in Alaska. Being snowed in and having more time to spend in my studio would be wonderful. The fiber pieces are beautiful! Have a blessed New Year!
