Happy Mother's Day

We made it back from vacation, & had a great time. Today is Mother's Day & I'm just tired from too much fun & travel. I'll post later this week all about it. For today I just wanted to say Happy Mother's Day to all you lovely Mothers out there. These are the flowers that just came from my kids, Brandon & Laura, who will soon become parents themselves.
Shoertly after the flowers were delivered we had a couple of surprise guests. Another mother & her young one.

I'm afraid I just couldn't invite them in for dinner, but enjoyed seeing them.
They came to finish off the leavings from last winter's bird feeders. We had put them away before leaving on vacation, but hadn't swept away the dropped seeds yet. Right now they're laying there taking a nap. I think I'll sweep up after they leave. ;~)

Wow, how wonderful (if a bit scary) to have such wildlife.

All the way from Virginia that's a cool picture. Not sure I'd want to see it outside my kitchen window though!

Those photo's really freaked me, I guess your used to it. The most we get is a Koala or possum. Annette

Glad you're back!

I simply can't imagine having bears for a visit...that would end a lot of my outdoor activity!

Glad you had a good time. What interesting neighbors you have. I think I'd be pretty shook up if I looked out and saw them in my yard. Occasionally we do have a bear come into town but never in my yard. I'd be fascinated and nervous.

Hi Deb. Yes, we missed you.

A friend I have known since we were 6 or 7 ( and her husband )is flying to your part of the world tomorrow to visit her new grand daughter Maggie Rose who was born there 3 days ago. The parents live at the Airforce/ Army base, on the outskirts of Anchorage. ( the new mum is a Kiwi ( New Zealander )).
