I got these cool beads from my friend Kathy Jolman as part of my Christmas gift from her. The podlike bead, is a vessel that can hold something like an essential oil. I got a2 new lenses for my camera from my DH, & played with them yesterday & today.
I just stuck my head out the door & snapped pictures of the Redpoles,
Nuthatch,
Chickadees,
& Grossbeaks.
Inside Broccoli was being teased by the squirrel...

The squirrel is so cute. It made me giggle. I don't remember seeing that red bird when I lived there. Weird. I like it!

Must have quite the fast shutter speed...I love the redpole and the one with the wing in motion...wow.
We had a shrew that would hang outside the window in the winter and drive our three cats nuts.
I envy you the ability to get those great bird pictures. Brocolli is so cute trying to get the squirrel. I've always felt that SNOW is a four letter word, which is why I would never consider living in Alaska. Of course, Colorado is getting a lot this winter.

At first I thought that poor squirrel had lost it's tail. Not sure I've gotten that close to one....we have way to many cats prowling around outside!
What a wonderful bird feeder, with all it's customers. Still can't get over all that snow! Keep showing us the great photos Deb, they are educating those of us who have never lived in a cold area.

Looks like you get lots of birds. I love the redpolls and grosbeaks, but rarely get them at my feeder. Very nice photos...thanks for sharing.
The beads are pretty. The camera is really nice. I know 'cause the pictures are really nice! Pretty birds, pretty bird feeder.

Great pictures! They take me back to the bird feeder we used to have which was full of those similar birds. Which raises the question, why are they in Alaska if they used to come south to Indiana? It's actually nice to see snow, too. Never thought I'd say that, but we haven't had any, and it seems so weird.
